Clive Vosper - Linear expression exhibition

 

Landscape is the starting point for Clive's prints in this exhibition.  Places that show evidence of their history and how they have been used, shaped and exploited for living, death, for ritual or defence, and how the natural forces change and distort the land.

 

Clive is interested in a more intimate rather than a wide view.

 

In his photographs he tries to look at the less obvious, to find an intimate place, object, quality of light, texture or form that reflects the spirit of the place he is in.

 

Clive's aim with the Isle of Harris photographs is to express a sense of calm which reflects the peaceful remoteness of the Western Isles.
