‘Ebb and flow’
A gathering of new work unearthing feelings dominated by the challenging narrative of relinquishing our control over desired outcomes. This collection celebrates uncertainty and the liberation of change; a yearning to let go.
Each carved vessel embodies the process of dedicating yourself towards an intended outcome. Offering evidence of a nurtured perspective through time spent exploring, while providing growth through action and attention.
This collection chooses to question at which point we loosen our grip. Time rarely allying with our desires, preordained and suppressed conclusions emerge from within, the vessels becoming emblematic of this chosen discourse. To acquiesce with the unknown is to be truly free; to be unburdened by choice.
Impermanence encouraged and physically characterised by flame, these tokens of self honour a facet of life we all experience. Nothing lasts forever and change is compulsory; the process is all that can be cherished.
This collection symbolises a direct and visceral response to my connection with an ever changing world.
