Cara Wassenberg is an artist metalsmith known for sculptural pieces in copper, steel and glass.

Her forms  emerge from a passion for process and organic form. Trained in metalwork and design, she often combines multiple craft processes such as forging, welding and patination.

She worked internationally before establishing her workshop in Southern England. Her work can now be found in many private collections from Dallas to Dorset. Her seminal sculpture ‘Transcendence’ was recently selected for Wells Art Contemporary, and she particularly enjoys working with designers on bespoke projects. ‘Riverbed’ one of her larger outdoor sculptures can be visited in the gardens of Rockingham Castle.

Cara is a regular tutor at West Dean College.
