Caroline Lingwood - Organic exhibition

Caroline is a multidisciplinary artist working in mixed media sculpture and painting. She studied Fine Art Textiles at Goldsmiths College, University of London where she obtained a BA Honours degree in 1988.

Caroline has jointly run Lingwood Samuel Art since 1996, opening Lingwood Samuel at 12 Church Street in Godalming, a gallery and studio specialising in art and contemporary craft in June 2014.
Caroline's work has been displayed in various exhibitions and selected Art fairs in the UK and is held in both private and commercial collections.

There is a sense of theatre, a feeling of the cabinet of curiosity to Caroline's work and a playfully, dark, surreal side to some of her mixed media pieces, influenced by a fascination with natural forms, both living and decaying.

She is currently working with ideas of memory, fragility and transcience using a limited, muted palette, incorporating a wide variety of materials and techniques including textiles, porcelain, silver, paper and found objects.
