Sherry Doyal - Organic exhibition
Sherry is a maker, conservator and teacher.
Her botanic material and art objects are informed by her expertise as a conservator working with both natural science and history collections.
Sherry makes contemporary baskets which need contain nothing but ideas which are worked in botanic materials, papers, pulps and wax. Interests find expression in wabi sabi, a Japanese sensibility of the ephemeral, the incomplete, the imperfect and the wamono basket tradition.
